Where do you ship mobility scooters in Canada?

Scooter Life Canada ships mobility scooters, power wheelchairs and mobility aids across Canada, including Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec and the other provinces. Orders of $100 or more ship free, and most orders arrive within 3 to 9 business days.

What types of mobility scooters do you sell?

We carry compact portable scooters for daily use, folding and lightweight travel scooters, 3-wheel and 4-wheel models, and full-size scooters for longer outdoor trips. We also sell power wheelchairs (including remote-controlled and auto-folding models), manual wheelchairs, rollators, lift chairs, portable ramps and lifts, and accessories.

Do you offer financing for mobility scooters?

Can I use government funding to buy a mobility scooter in Canada?

In Ontario, the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can pay 75% of the approved price of eligible mobility devices, and ODSP or Ontario Works recipients may qualify for 100% coverage of the approved amount. To qualify, you need a long-term physical disability (6 months or longer), an assessment by an ADP-registered authorizer such as an occupational therapist, and the device must be supplied through an ADP-registered vendor. Scooter Life Canada is not an ADP-registered vendor, so purchases from our store are not funded by ADP. Other provinces run their own programs, so check with your provincial health ministry.

What is the difference between a mobility scooter and a power wheelchair?

A mobility scooter is steered with a tiller handlebar while sitting upright. It suits people who can sit and transfer independently and need help covering longer distances. A power wheelchair uses joystick controls and suits people who need more postural support and tighter indoor maneuverability.
